On the occasion of our Annual Speakers Series, Inter Pares presents an evening of reflection and discussion on the topic of discrimination and social exclusion in Canada. "I Am The Other" will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m. with light refreshments, followed by the presentation of the 2018 Peter Gillespie Social Justice Award to a Canadian organization carrying out transformative work to address discrimination and social exclusion.

Our three guest speakers Gabriel Allahdua, Monia Mazigh and Priscilla Settee will then take the stage and share, from their lived experience, their thoughts and reflections on the topics of migrant workers' rights, Islamophobia and civil liberties as well as Indigenous rights in Canada.

Finally, a unique playback theatre performance will allow the audience to be engaged in the discussions in an artistic manner.

This is a free event. Space is limited. RSVP now.

Simultaneous English and French interpretation will be provided.

This event is wheelchair-accessible through the Health Centre entrance. Wabano can be reached by OC Transpo route 12. Parking is readily available nearby. Details on parking locations can be found at http://ow.ly/KZN1i
